Teri Thompson, APRN-BC
Dr. Teri (Thiesen) Thompson is originally from Norfolk, Nebraska. Teri earned a Master’s in Pediatric Medicine in 2000 from the University of Missouri-Kansas city. After working many years at the Children’s Mercy Hospital, she went on to get her post-master’s degree in Family Practice in 2011. She also earned a PhD and post masters from the University of Kansas in 2011. She is dual board certified in Pediatrics and Family Practice.
Teri enjoys practicing preventative and restorative medicine to children and their families. She feels that by knowing the whole family she is able to offer more encompassing care to the entire family. Her special interests include endocrinology and helping individuals achieve a healthy lifestyle, pediatrics and taking care of children with special needs.
Outside of practicing at Sunny Meadow for the past eight years, her faith, family and friends are the most important areas in her life. She and her husband Maynard have one son Samuel and have added a daughter-in-law Myckaila to their family. She and her husband enjoy camping, cooking, kayaking, fly-fishing, and cross country skiing. Teri also enjoy’s quilting, reading, and gardening.
